The Department invites applications for a three-year, limited-term appointment in Ancient Near Eastern History. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, and will begin on July 1, 2014.
The successful candidate will have a PhD by July 1, 2014, will have teaching responsibilities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and demonstrate excellence in teaching and research. The Department is seeking a scholar who will contribute to its offerings in Ancient Near Eastern Studies with a specialization in the study and teaching of cuneiform sources (Akkadian and Sumerian).
