It shall demonstrate and disclose the emphasis placed on particular senses for the purpose of creating a ranked listing of those senses. For this purpose, the three parts of the study shall cover: a) the importance of sensory organs; b) an analysis of Akkadian verbs of perception and synaesthetic adjectives with regard to their polysemy and hierarchy, and c) some general deliberations on senses, which are either much emphasized, or repressed in the cultural realms of mythology, cosmology and rituals.
